Beauty products I've used up... #4 + Giveaway winner!

Hi girls!

First of all thank you very much for all your entries on my first giveaway!
I decided to make my son pick one of you this morning instead of going to Random.org...
I wrote your names on a piece of paper and he picked one randomly! He was so proud!
The winner is Mary Calabrese! Congratulations Mary! She has already been contacted. I posted her parcel this afternoon!

I will do another giveaway soon so keep your eyes peeled! :-)

Today's post is about "empties"!
I'm really behind on these posts... Finished products are piling up, expect a lot more of these posts in the next days/weeks as I really need to show you and then throw everything!

Cottage Moisturizing Shower Gel "Jasmine and Poppy": You know by now that I absolutely adore this brand!
I wouldn't repurchase that particular scent, I wasn't too fond of it but I will continue buying other scents, for sure!

The Body Shop Lightening Touch: This is The Body Shop version of YSL Touche Eclat! I've owned the Touche Eclat before and didn't really care for it... I prefer this one. Don't expect a lot of coverage with this, this is more of an illuminating product. I used it under the eyes to have a brighter look. I love the silver shiny packaging! I will grab another one of these soon!

Covergirl Lash Exact Mascara: I got this in the shade "Black Brown". I wanted something natural for no-makeup days... I liked it, it separates and lengthens well but doesn't give a ton of volume. The brush is made of short plastic bristles, my favorites! I might repurchase but not immediately...

Caudalie Eau de Beauté: I love this, this is my second bottle! I will be repurchasing a third one, for sure! I love to use this to freshen up during the day or after I've taken my makeup off. This is more of a summer favorite!

Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover: I got this a few months ago when I ran out of my trusty Bioderma. I heard many people raving about this (Marlena from MakeupGeek said it was the best eye makeup remover ever!!!). That's quite a statement so I wanted to try it... I must say that I was very disappointed... It's nothing special really... It's a two-phase type of product, it left a greasy residue and stung my eyes a little bit. The purple packaging is cute but the screw top is hard to open (you have to press and twist at the same time to open it). You have to shake it really well before using it. I found that the product was already separating when I finally managed to open it every time! Fail! It's pricey and is not worth the hype in my opinion. Wouldn't repurchase!

Caudalie Gentle Conditioning Shampoo (All Hair Types): This was part of a sample kit I got last summer. I usually love Caudalie products but this was just... blah! The formula is great (no paraben, no phenoxyethanol, no phthalate) but it doesn't lather at all... It left my hair nice and clean but I like when a shampoo foams up really well! It makes me feel more clean! I didn't like the smell at all... I wouldn't repurchase.

Artemis Skin Essentials Intense Night Repair Serum: This is only a sample size... I liked it but nothing groundbreaking! I haven't noticed anything in terms of ageeing properties... I wouldn't repurchase. I'm using the Nuxe Crème Fraîche 24hr moisturizing and anti-fatigue concentrate at the moment!

Nivéa Repair & Care Hand Balsam: I love this hand cream and have bought it many times! It's very moisturing and really gives relief if you have dried, red and tight skin. It's absorbed quickly and doesn't leave a tacky feeling after you've applied it. I'm now using the Soap&Glory Hand Food but yes, I would totally repurchase! I highly recommend it even though the formula is not the most natural...

That's it for today pretty girls...

Keep on smiling! ;-)

  2. I LOVED this Anne! Thanks for sharing it with us!

I remember when Marlena raved about that Clinique product... but I love bioderma so much that I have never been interested in trying another makeup remover. Thanks so much for now letting us know that it's not worth it.

I love Bioderma too, won't change anytime soon!
I think it's our "mission" as bloggers to let the readers know when a product is not worth the hype! ;-)
